Green River Fly Fishing Report - November 2, 2017

The fishing on the Green River is tougher than normal out there, but the rewards are greater.  The trout are fat and longer than average.  The solitude and hopper fishing on warm afternoons has been great!  Small grey nymphs, Grasshoppers, midge patterns, ants, beetles, and crickets are fishing best.  The Trico and Psuedocleon (small BWO) hatches are pretty much done.  Midges, smaller fish, eggs, and scuds will dominate the trouts diet for the coming months.  Streamers are getting better daily and should be prime any day.

The Green River flows were low for a couple weeks for Dam maintenance.  They are currently scheduled to go back up slowly, reaching 2,800 cfs flat on November 14th.
