Ted "Mustang" Relihan

Originally Ted is from Wichita, Kansas and first went fly fishing on the White River in Colorado sometime around 1968. Growing up his family had a cabin in Minnesota where he fished day and night each summer doing whatever it took to catch every fish. After attending college at the University of Kansas and earning his BFA he worked in the "Artworld" until 1990. That fall he was toiling away as an Art Director when he woke up one day and figured he rather be fishing. Coincidentally his old friend was starting a lodge on the White River. Ted called him up that morning and got a job as an apprentice guide. He pulled the rip cord! Went to work and quit his job, sold his car and bought   a truck, sublet his apartment and moved to Colorado the next day. Since then "Mustang" has guided thousands of days on the White, Colorado, Frying Pan, Roaring Fork, Green and basically any puddle of water that might hold fish. Ted works with the best outfitters on the Western Slope bringing variety to those that fish with him. He is a wade guide and likes to get to know the rivers he fishes by being in them. Always willing to teach any level of angler new tricks or old styles you can't spend a day learning nothing from Mustang. When he is not guiding Ted enjoys traveling with his wife and ...fishing.
