Fishing Scale: poor - fair - good - great - epic!

River Pressure: moderate

Hatches: Midges size #20-24, a few BWO's #16-18

Best Techniques:
Nymphing deep runs & pools (8-10 feet deep)
Dry Fly to rising pods of fish during the midge and BWO hatches
Streamers fished painfully slow or even on a nymph rig

Spotlight Midge black #20-24
Parachute Adams #16-18
Goldilox #4-10
Orange Scud #16
Gray Scud #18-22
Tungsten Zebra Midge black, brown, wine #18-20

As the temperatures rise, the fly fishing in early spring really picks up. The trout are eager to eat the larger BWO mayfly nymphs. March provides some of the best nymph fishing all year.

Please avoid standing/anchoring on or near the rainbow and cutthroat spawn beds.
